Es geschah heute vor einem Jahr

Der 30. April 2006 war unser Stichtag, den wir uns um Januar gesetzt hatten: Wenn bis zum 30. April 75% unserer finanziellen Unterstützung zusammenkommen, werden wir darauf vertrauen, dass Gott den Rest auch gibt und wir werden im Sommer 2006 umziehen. Am 26.April – nach nur etwa vier Monaten Reisedienst – standen wir bei rund 55%. Das allein war schon ein Wunder, hatten uns viele doch gesagt, dass es normalerweise Jahre dauern kann, bis man gehen kann. Kann man in nur wenigen Tagen 20% zusammenbekommen? Gott kann alles. Am Abend des Sonntags, 30. April 2006 standen wir bei exakt 74,9%. Dies war eine unerhörte Ermunterung für uns und gleichzeitig eine unüberhörbare Botschaft Gottes: „Ich will, dass ihr geht!“

It happened today one year ago. Sunday, April 30th 2006 was our personal deadline: If we’ll get 75% of our financial support by then, we’ll trust that God takes care of the rest too, and we will be moving to Sweden in summer. A couple of days earlier, April 26th, our finance barometer showed 55%. After only four months of fundraising in Germany was that a miracle anyway. But is it possible to overcome a 20% gap within only four days? God can. He raised the amount by the evening of April 30th 2006 to 74.9%! That was an awesome encouragement for us and at the same time an unmistakable request of God to us: “I want you to go!”
