Ever heard of the Swedish tradition called “Knut”? It’s celebrated at the 13th of January (yes, yesterday) when Swedish Christmas trees are being kicked out of the homes. Since we had an original Swedish spruce we had to hang on to its tradition. Fortunately, my parents have been here for the weekend and they didn’t let anything stop them from becoming part of an original Swedish Knut. As you can see, they helped us actively.
One day prior to that the tree was aglow with light for a last time as we celebrated our familiy Christmas with Grandchildren, Grandparents and us.
My parents came also over to celebrate their 40th wedding day with us. Yeah, and that’s it what we did. Enjoying breakfast with Champagne from the “Systembolaget” (no idea what the heck THAT is? Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Systembolaget!). And having a great italian dinner at the Avenyn, Gothenburgs boulevard. We really enjoyed the weekend. What a pity that they had to leave again today! We hoped the hurricane which ran over Sweden today would keep them with us for a few more days. But Ryanair-pilots are bold and fearless. They fly with every wind force. Have a good journey and come back soon!
